3 Things You Must Have In Order To Profit From Your Hobby

With over 70% of people who responded to a recent survey revealing that they were thinking about starting a business of some sort, working from home is becoming more the norm than ever before.

The problem for many people is that they don’t really know where to start and how to turn their dream into something tangible.

3 critical things you'll need in order to turn your hobby into a profitable business are -

.1
 A Positive Attitude

By far your biggest asset in turning your favorite hobby into a thriving business is a positive attitude. I think it was Harry F. Banks who said, “Attitude determines your altitude”.

If you are going to pursue your dream and make it a reality, you must have a positive attitude and the willingness to commit to what it takes to make it happen.

So many people start out on the road to turning their hobby into a business, and then at the first sign of an obstacle, they give up, often just before they start to see results.

A positive attitude will help you to break through the barriers and temporary setbacks and reach your desired goal.

.2
 The Determination To Succeed

Many people who fall in love with the idea of turning their hobby into a business are looking for an easy way out and at the first problem, they give up and let circumstances crush their dreams.

By developing a fierce determination to succeed, your chances of creating a profitable business are infinitely higher and you are virtually setting yourself up for success.

While there are not guarantees that you will eventually make it, having the determination to push on regardless of minor problems and find solutions is the mark of a true winner.

Determination and a positive attitude can work together to help a dedicated person succeed where others have failed

.3
 A Proven System

The final and some would say most important thing you’ll need is a proven system for marketing your products and/or services.

You need a step by step process that you can follow to ensure your success; something that other’s have used successfully to achieve the same goal you have.

It’s no use having an incredibly positive attitude and loads of determination if you choose a system that’s flawed and never had a chance of working in the first place.

Look for proof that other people have followed any system you are considering and become successful.

Unfortunately, many people waste money, and more importantly, valuable time, chasing the latest fad or scheme offered by unscrupulous promoters. Most of these schemes haven't agot  hope of succeeding, but people fall for them every day.

Don’t ever take the promoter’s word that it will work for you…demand unquestionable PROOF that many people, from all walks of life, have been able to use what he or she is offering to turn their hobby or passion into a profitable business.

When it comes to the system, results are the only thing that matters…

There are plenty of fun ways that you can craft your way into the 4th of July.  If you are looking for some great Independence Day craft ideas, we have some for you.  But, before you look at those options, all you have to do to come up with your own is to think about the day, the reason for the day, the colors and the fun it will offer.  There are plenty of things that you can do to make this day truly amazing.  If you are ready to celebrate, here are a few craft ideas to take into consideration.  You can find full details on how to make them throughout the web or use your own creativity

The Pinwheel.  Nothing shouts Happy 4th like the pinwheel.  TO make them, simple fold a piece of paper into a star shape.  You will want to create a center section that will allow you to place a push pin through it.  Have the kids color the paper red, white and blue before they begin folding.  You’ll need to squares to work with.  Place the two sheets together.  Then, cut the first sheet from the corners towards the middle about half way.  Fold the corners to the middle, secure with push pin around a pencil at the back

Flags.  Flags are the most traditional of ways to celebrate the 4th.  For a simple design, have your child color a picture of the flag on a piece of paper.  Then, attach one side of the flag to popsicle sticks for a pole and they have a great looking flag to wave

Stars.  Another great way to show your pride is with stars.  Here have each child decorate paper stars on the front and the back in a wide range of designs.  Anything goes!  Red, white and blue work best.  Then, place a small hole through the top of each and string them together.  You can hang at your 4th of July celebration for a great way to celebrate.  It makes a great decoration for around the table too

You can find lots of fun craft projects for the 4th of July.  In fact, you can make it a history lesson with a few great fact sheets, coloring sheets about the Founding Fathers and a wide range of other things.  One thing is for sure.  You will want the kids to enjoy themselves.  Just getting out the red, white and blue finger paint and letting them go at it is enough to make this a very special celebration of the 4th of July

3 easy steps for transferring patterns

Many of you might be having an artistic approach towards life and would love to make use of this art during your leisure time. A craft book is a great way to improve your skills with all the innovative ideas and steps at your fingertips. Transferring patterns is also a craft work that requires your time
and skills
Things you require for pattern transfer
You need to have craft supplies, piece of material, transfer paper, craft tools, a transfer pencil, iron and ironing board
Instructions for pattern transfer
 1.
While you work on a hard surface, you need to trace the entire design with the help of your transfer pencil. You should try to keep the pressure of your stroke even all the way around the design to ensure a good transfer because if it is too light you won’t be able to see the lines of the design when you begin the project. You are about to transfer a reverse image of the one you have just printed. If the design is reversible then nothing matters but if it is not then you need to trace the image with your transfer pencil onto the other side of paper and remember that the side you trace shall face down on the material to be ironed.

 2.
Next you have to lift the pattern from the material which is ready for the project and could be used again.

 3.
Now cut a square around your pattern and for this it is better to work with a small piece of paper when you want to transfer the pattern to material with an iron. You have to position the pattern face down on the piece of material you are using for your project and then hold the pattern in place tightly with one hand and iron firmly and consistently over the pattern with your medium heated iron. Next set the iron aside and hold all but one corner of the pattern in place tightly with one hand and you can lift the free corner to check if the design is showing up dark enough. If it is not still dark, iron consistently in your coverage of the pattern till you get satisfactory results.

The Basic Clothing Every Camper Needs

The appropriate clothing is critical to your comfort during your camping trip.  Dress in layers.  Wearing layers of clothing enables you to have the luxury of removing layers when the weather is warm and piling on the layers when the weather is cold.  Without layers, you may find yourself sweating profusely in the heat or shivering in the cold

Wind is usually a factor when you are out in the wilderness.  Therefore, it is recommended to bring a wind breaker jacket.  Most camping stores will provide a wide variety of wind breaker jackets that are also water proof and provide ample amount of pockets for storage.  Synthetic materials also fight against the winter elements.  Synthetic materials ward off cold and also dry up any moisture you may release if you sweat.  Try several jackets on until you find one that is not only comfortable, but seals off any drafts to the outside air

Sturdy hiking boots that are waterproof is a must.  Experienced campers wear sock liners in addition to wool socks.  Your feet may retain moisture which can dampen your camping experience.  Sock liners will help keep your feet comfortably dry.  Don’t forget to bring extra pairs of socks

Make sure to cover your face and head with a hat and scarf.  Most of your body heat is lost through you head.  Plus, a hat and scarf can shield you from the harmful and tiring effects of the sun and wind.  Wear thick gloves, water proof gloves that provide thorough insulation for your hands

Let’s talk about your sleeping bag.  Finding the right sleeping bag is critical because it is the camping “clothing” you will be wearing when you are resting.  Therefore, don’t use the sleeping bag that has been hiding in your attic or basement.  You need a sleeping bag that is specifically designed for camping.  The sleeping bag should have adjustable straps so you can fit it snuggly around your body.  Many sleeping bags have a liner which gives you added protection against the wind and cold

When you are ready to use your sleeping bag, keep the following things in mind.  First, wear your hat to bed.  Don’t lose heat through your noggin!  Second, don’t wear the same socks you have worn all day to bed.  They are no doubt stinky and may be wet.  Put on a fresh, dry pair of socks.  Third, you can add extra insulation and comfort to your sleeping bag by placing a down comforter inside of it.  Wrap yourself thoroughly in the comforter and sleeping bag.  Tie up any loose ends or drafty areas to prevent unwanted cold and moisture from seeping into your sleeping bag.  Follow these tips and you will have a restful sleep

There you have it, the basic clothing you will need for your camping trip.  Do keep in mind that you should take into account where you are going camping and what time of year.  Your clothing choices will vary widely if you are just going to the local campground versus heading out to the uncharted trails of a mountain.  Either way, “Be Prepared”
